Sandy Springs South Carolina
Sandy Springs is an unincorporated community in Anderson County in Upstate South Carolina. It is conveniently located on US 76 between Anderson and Clemson. It is reported to have a population of 240 in 0.44 square miles, but since it is really unincorporated and kind of just a general area more than a town, don't let those numbers fool you. It is a bedroom community for both Anderson and Clemson. It is home to a huge employer in Anderson county, Michellin.
Interesting fact I found is Sandy Springs is the birthplace of Freddie Stowers, the only African-American to be awarded the Medal of Honor for his service in World War 1!
