Broadway Lake South Carolina
Broadway Lake is a 300 acre lake on Broadway Creek in Anderson County in Upstate South Carolina. It is a small lake, not really the lake for a cigarette boat like Hartwell Lake but it is quiet and the water levels are usually higher. Homes are sometimes more reasonably priced on Broadway compared to the other lakes.
You can find Catfish, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Striped Bass and if you believe the news stories that ran in the summer of 2008 there was a gator! But then again if you Google Broadway Lake you will also find a story about a UFO over Broadway lake too. Not saying either story is false but the internet is....
There is also the Pine Lakes Golf Club nearby, it is a public access golf course. Pine Lakes Golf Club is an 18-hole, regulation layout designed by Russell Breeden. The par 70 course has a rating of 68.6 with a slope of 113. The 6,366-yard course features five par 3 holes, three sets of tees and a driving range. Pine Lakes Golf Course is considered to be quite a challenge. The signature hole is #16, a 235-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over a lake to the green. But since I don't paly golf I cannot say how good or bad a course it is other than the greens and fairways always look good when I drive by.
I wish I could find more to tell you. It is a nice small lake, that really is quiet and peaceful with sunsets that can be especially nice. If living on a small peaceful lake such as Broadway Lake sounds good to you, then please
