In my opinion, the best deal of the homes reported sold this week in Anderson County was the most expensive home reported sold. I know I usually pick out a cheap home but this was great deal for a home on the lake. I am sure there will be some that turn their noses up because it is a doublewide and not a stick built home. But those same people are going to pay more and not get as good a location as this home. Incredible views of the lake from the deck and considering it had a HUGE covered dock in place, this was a freaking steal! A few years ago people were paying this much for a dockable lot.......

The best deal to hit the MLS in Anderson County this past week in my opinion is a 1600 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath doublewide on 7 acres near Lake Secession. Asking $69,900 and this is a great price for a home in this shape on this much land that has a boat dock just down the street. When it hit the market I thought decent price until I looked at the satellite view and saw how nice the land and location is.

Considering how low mortgage rates are, it is amazing to me that more people are NOT buying real estate. Maybe buying isn't right for you or the too strict lending conditions have ruled home ownership out for you today. But if it makes sense for you to buy a home, right now there are some great deals and great mortgage rates.
